I Slow Down to the Speed of Wisdom

“I slow down to the speed of wisdom”

I heard this quote recently & while I don’t know the origins, these words hit me right in that aha spot and got my attention. Something inside of me is asking me to slow down and go inward. With social media connecting all of us with instant and constant updates, it’s sometimes hard to remember that it’s ok to unplug from constant connection. I have been feeling stuck between the pull of going inward and the guilt of needing to stay connected and offer consistent content. This quote snapped me right out of that purgatory so I could see clearly how remaining stuck in that middle ground does not serve me or anyone else. So today I slow down to the speed of wisdom and give myself permission to tend to my creative journey that flows from the inside out. .

I’m ready to create a new body of work. To give birth to something I have never brought to life before. It’s a space filled with anticipatory fear and vulnerability. And I must get quiet and listen. Listen to the whispers of the uncharted territory. And follow their call wherever they may take me.
